Bloomberg dropped the story on August 31. Hyperliquid Labs is in talks with Payward — Kraken's parent — and Bitnomial, a CFTC-regulated exchange, to route US traders into Hyperliquid's perpetual futures. None of the three parties confirmed. That silence is the first piece of data.

The market immediately went to work pricing HYPE. But I see a different headline: this is not a partnership. This is a compliance wrapper being wrapped around an existing order-book engine. The block confirms what the eyes missed.
